Positive /Negative Approach in Work Place

Positive /Negative Approach in Work Place

Nothing can be overemphasized than positive thinking in life. Positive thinking or approach is described as all time solution to vexed issues in life. Positive is a state of mind vis a vis a state which is negative, under a set of conditions. Positive approach means mind laced with having hopes, never to give up approach with hopes paramount for desired outcome.
On the other hand, negative thinking and negative emotions are deemed counterproductive; complex & potentially aligned towards reduction, destruction & elimination. On compared basis positives prevail over negatives however a dose extra in positive state can be equally unrewarding in matters of conclusive gains pertaining to profits.  The correct understanding of positive approach is utmost important. Positive approach or bend of mind does not mean that one should let the thing go by or not worry at all. However worrying or focusing too much on an issue may be equally baneful as the balance does take the toll. A balanced approach is the need & the whole some perspective overcomes the dilemma of all. Too much positive approach may propel the person to move on at times without calculations, invite more risks than necessary and flaunt caution to the wind. Being Positive means determined & confident in right earnest with right frame with right intention with right measure with right methods.  By being more positive, one cannot avoid the risk of being framed as egoist, overconfident & un calculative.
Positive thinking without dose of negative factoring may take the person dealing in business to depth of miseries & complexities. Negative considerations are equally beneficial provide one knows the application part of them. Estimation matters; neither over nor under, can bring the sombre effect on decisions. With a tinge of negative estimation, positive frame of mind can initiate actions with right, balanced & holistic perspective.
In cyclic life events, when something imagined does not happen; it provides a shock. One does not easily accept it. On the other hand, if something desired happens which was not contemplated due to overcautious thinking pattern bracketed as negative casing, one is not liable to be affected. Negative visualization can be an excellent antidote to anxiety.
Positive approach teaches us to pursue the goal with undivided attention, however, too much of time bound & goal oriented approach may prompt one to adopt all types of means including compromising ethics & values.
Lessons to enhance positivity will help to those who are brimming with passion. Will it affect positively those who are negatively oriented? Those who carry negative attributes feel composed & filled up when they come across undesired & unwanted situations. Negative events are good for getting attention, negative communication is central to accomplishing key activities of transformational leadership; i.e., getting an audience’s attention… Human beings give more weight to losses than to gains, to pains than to joys, to negative events than to positive events… As a result, negative events are more attention-getting… but, if a leader is looking to ‘inspire’ action it requires positive stories: Leaders can get attention through negative stories but when they are trying to ‘inspire’ people towards action than positive messages generally work better. The sustained enthusiasm required by leadership is a positive emotion; hence, a leader’s communication for ‘change’ needs to be positive. It’s the contagiousness of a leader’s positive emotion and energy that stimulates desire for a new future. A frequent leadership mistake is to try to spark action with negative stories. Negative stories get people’s attention but don’t spark action which generates from positive stories that shows the way forward.
Positive thinking has desirable consequences; however, it seems that this may not be the case unless it’s mixed with a little negative thinking. Those who practice negative thinking are more able to handle difficult situations. Negative thinking is important in business. It is important that the worst is thought of. It is important that all probables are contemplated to one’s likings or disliking. It is utmost important to have a mix of all positively implied & negative implied courses with consequences. A dose of negative thinking keeps one on tenterhooks & saves most of the time from leaning on steps which may not be soothing for success in desired terms.
Generally people having cautious & rationale approach are labelled as negative thinkers who dissuade form any new approach. It may not be so. Such people only add a little flavour to extremes of discussions & consequences. Negative people have enhanced ‘information-processing strategies’, which means they use the critical part of their brain more successfully than cheerful people.
Most important is to understand that no thinking is undesirable; it is right combination which is the need to work out strategy for any project. A combination of both positive & negative can create balance which can catapult in rationale outcome.  We may not differentiate positive & negative in qualitative terms. Positive approach is good for constructive thinking pattern & develop zeal to undertake challenges but may not ultimately be the panacea of all issues. Positive thinking produces wonderful dreams, visions, goals. Negative thinking produces powerful plans, strategies. Learning optimism is about building greater resiliency, improving our performance by changing the way we interpret events, not by putting on a happy face in every situation. At times we tend to cushion negative developments under the weight of positive aura which we create under the impression that positivity is must in life. We obfuscate the reality deliberately.

Negative thinking (fear, doubt and worry.) is a fact of life and of business. You can’t stop negative thinking from entering the workplace, but you can stop it from limiting you and your team. The positive power of negative thinking is a check to the natural, irrational exuberance we feel when we try to attain success. Also, by thinking about the negative events, if and when they occur, the bitter taste of their impact will be lessened thanks to planning. Positive thinking and confidence improves performance; whereas, negative thinking feels realistic, protects us, lowers expectations. While justifying negative thinking in its own place, the idea is not to undermine the importance of positive approach; important is to go ahead with the right mix of both the approaches to scale accomplishment of undertakings.

Change is the most essential part in LIFE

Change is the most essential part in LIFE—

YOU MUST ACCEPT IT.

Many years ago, some scientists did a simple experiment on a bullfrog. They threw a bullfrog into a container of boiling water, and the bullfrog instantly popped out of the boiling water. Next, they put the bullfrog into a container of cold water. The bullfrog liked it and stayed in the container. The scientists then turned on the heat at the bottom of the container. As the water got warmer, the bullfrog relaxed and took a nap. The bullfrog was so comfortable that it stayed in the container and was “cooked”.
Most of us are in the “comfort zone”.
All of us have a house to go home, a nice bed to sleep on, food in the fridge, a group of friends to mingle with, along with some basic necessities of LIFE. We really have worked hard to get to where we are now.
Most of us are like bullfrog.

Because we feel warm and comfortable, we refuse to get out of our comfort zone, and prefer to stay where we are. In LIFE, we are either creating or disintegrating.
There is no such thing as “staying where we are”, because there is always movement. So if we are not moving ahead in LIFE, we must by nature, be moving in the opposite direction.
"It is inevitable that some defeat will enter even  in the most victorious LIFE. The human spirit is never finished when it is defeated... it is finished when it surrenders."

Do not ever feel defeated, as it is temporary. Do not surrender, Find the way out, if necessary, change your belief system, learn something new. Most importantly read the Good Thoughts required for LIFE and inculcate / implement in you and your family.

Nevr quit

Never Quit

Nearly every man who develops an idea works at it up to the point where it looks impossible, and then gets discouraged.
Thomas Edison, of course, is famous for having never quit when things looked impossible.  When inventing the first commercially practical light bulb, he ran thousands and thousands of experiments before he created a light bulb then would burn for a long period of time.
Edison didn’t invent the first light bulb. The incandescent lamp had already been invented.  What he did was create a version that was commercially practical. Cheap enough to produce and sell en mass, and burned long enough that people would have use for it.
Again, he tried thousands and thousands of ideas before he found one that worked. His team of inventors and assistants certainly got discouraged and doubtful, but not him. Everyone working with him had the knowledge and ability to create that same invention, but what it came down to was will and perseveranceRefusing to quit.
The First Thing That Stood Out About The Quote Was…
Two things: When things look impossible, that’s the precise moment that you have to force yourself to continue forward.  That’s the moment where progress and advancement is made.  That ‘wall’ is simply the box or boundaries that you have lived within.
I admire Edison’s ability to keep moving forward in the darkness, so to speak.  He was acutely aware that he could not know everything in any specific moment. He was aware that the only way to learn, grow, and tap his potential was one step at a time.
You may not be able to see it all at once, but if you have faith and keep moving forward, it will reveal itself to you.
And The Second Thing About The Quote…
The other fact is that he didn’t do it alone. He had a team of inventors and scientist. Most likely they were brilliant people, like himself. They all were perfectly capable of eventually creating what he did. It was Edison’s determination and refusal to quit.  His insistence to continue moving forward even though he had no idea how far he would have to walk in the dark.
It is that persistence & stubbornness which differentiated Edison from others.

Confidence and courage go hand in hand. Lack of confidence compromises & envelops real potential of a person. Courage is the ability and willingness to confront fear, pain, danger & any uncertain situation which hampers realization of goals and dreams.
Lack of confidence has to do lot with conditioning. In many ways our society teaches us to doubt ourselves. It’s all part of the conditioning process that is designed to make us dependent rather than independent.
Taking action is one of the most effective ways to conquer any feeling which causes doubt.  Everyone carries something unique to count. Most of the time we are bothered about external factors which may undervalue one’s abilities. When one drifts in our concentration & focus, confidence is bound to crumble. Everybody requires some validation; people start falling on friends, relatives & neighbors depending upon the conditions.
From Henry Ford to Bill Gates, those with the confidence and courage to follow through on their dreams have been honored. Famous people who are remembered by the world even if faltered initially, corrected themselves immediately & got out of the wood by understanding the spirits of confidence.
We all  know that Thomas Edison, Walt Disney, and Albert Einstein didn't do well in school. These are famous, highly honored individuals who had the courage to follow their creative dreams regardless of popular opinion, even in the face of ridicule. They mustered up the courage to take action and overcome self-doubt.
What can we learn from this?
It’s perfectly normal to harbor feelings of self-doubt considering how most of us were raised. These feelings can be overcome, and taking action toward your dreams is a big step in the right direction. You need to believe that there is something wonderfully unique and valuable about you and your creative abilities. You also need to recognize that it will take some courage to prove that to yourself. If you have the courage to take action, confidence follows.

Wait a minute

What happened to 8 wealthiest people in the world?

“In 1923, eight of the wealthiest people in the world met. Their combined wealth, estimated, exceeded the wealth of the government of the United States. These men knew how to make a
living and accumulate wealth. 25 years later.
1. President of the largest steel company, Charles Schwab, died bankrupt.

2. President of the largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane.

3. One of the greatest commodity traders, Arthur Cutton, died insolvent.

4. President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail.

5. A member of the President’s Cabinet, Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail.

6. The greatest “bear” on Wall Street, Jessie Livermore, committed suicide.

7. President of the world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed suicide.

8. President, Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, committed suicide.

They forgot to make a
life! Just made Money!

Money provides food for the hungry, medicine for the sick, clothes for the needy, but is only a medium of exchange.

We need two kinds of education.
One that teaches us how to make a living and one that teaches us how to live.
People are engrossed in their professional life and neglect their family, health and social responsibilities.

Our kids are sleeping when we leave home.
They are sleeping when we come home.
Twenty years later, we’ll turn back, and they’ll all be gone !!!!!.

Without water, a ship cannot move.
The ship needs water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will face problems and sink.

Similarly we live in a
time where earning is a necessity but let not the earning enter our hearts, for what was once a means of living will be become a means of destruction.

So take a moment and ask yourself….has the water entered my ship?”

Restrain

Restraint is the key
Practical hints to Growing children
We often come across rebellious children crisscrossing ways with their parents while they grow in their age thinking they have discovered the whole vista of knowledge. They feel that without restrictions, they could achieve much more; the constant nagging of parents presents only stumbling block in their ways though they are yet to discover what the ways are & why they are.
Wilful behaviour though initially gives some superficial measures of happiness however in the long run; it proves to be deleterious pill. Living beings & discipline (code & rules) ought to move together. Human being highest in order naturally ought to be in higher class of discipline.
Free will is re enacting of unconscious habits. On being angry on someone, one tends to say things without measure which causes frustration & anxiety which is avoidable & regretful. Wisdom of restraint is an art we are generally stripped of in fast paced self oriented & closed world. With restrain, we can only see re-enactment & replay of predictable behaviour pattern which is self driven. Without restraint; we give up & become pawn in hands of others. With restrain, there is window of opportunity. Much to the contrary, the restrain causes freedom from our self sabotaging habits & fear based patterns. The day edifice of habits start collapsing; our enlightenment & evolution commences.
a.       Decide first the intention to break the habit pattern with sincerity. Pattern may be nail biting, eating poorly, arguing too great length, smoking etc.
b.      When you notice the emergence of habit pattern, pause, take breath, step away from the pattern.
c.       Congratulate yourself fro breaking the habit pattern.
When one begins to dismantle the habits, it may not happen immediately; continue without break or disappointment. Come out more strongly against shameless habits  as they are enemies from within which carries potential to rot in extremely ugly form.

Motivation lecture in Anand Eng College. Agra

It was nice to address the first year students who had just stepped into the portals of the engineering college - Anand Eng College, Agra in presence of their parents. In compressed time frame of 10 minutes, I tried to motivate them to stage forward in calibrated manner to over come odds.
